yup yup totally. All you need is the ring, an engraving tool and a steady hand. easy peasy!!!!!!

or you could just buy a blank bangle and cut out an image or use rub on transfers and put glue on top. but your whole engraving tool thing sounds eaiser. not.

She was being sarcastic.
26th-Jun-2007 02:42 am (UTC)
AHAHA! Okay I love when people don't understand when someone's being sarcastic back.
26th-Jun-2007 02:58 am (UTC)
oh, i forgot to mention that then they never comment again because they feel stupid being like 'd00d, they were being sarcastic' not realizing that within them trying to prove the other person wrong they didnt realize the other person was too. people need to chill.
26th-Jun-2007 08:36 am (UTC)
yes I was being sarcastic and I was planning to comment back but I've been a bit busy today so yeah. and I don't feel stupid at all just so you know =]

If you were trying to be sarcastic by saying "but the engraving idea sounds easier. not." you shouldn't have added the 'not.' it gives people the impression that you're just being an asshole instead of being sarcastic.
26th-Jun-2007 08:23 pm (UTC)
i was being sarcastic in saying the engraving tool was better, obv.
27th-Jun-2007 07:31 am (UTC)
If you were being sarcastic the 'not' was unnecessary.

I saw in my Seventeen magazine that you can make these, pretty easily.

You need:
Rub on transfers (which you can get at Walmart for $4)
Nail Polish

step one
take a sheet from the transfers packet and neatly cut out the word or words that you'd like to appear on your bangle.

step two
hold the word against the bangle. using the wooden stick included in the packet, rub the words HARD so they transfer onto the bangle.

step three
once the word is in place, gently apply one coat of clear nail polish to seal on the letters. allow polish to dry before wearing the bangle.

if she wanted to make one she wouldn't have asked for a website, would she? Besides, handmade items don't always turn out great
25th-Jun-2007 07:34 pm (UTC)
i'd check ebay, they're probably mad cheap too.
25th-Jun-2007 08:23 pm (UTC)
There aren't any right now, but if you check ioffer.com in a few weeks, I would guess that there would be some.

26th-Jun-2007 05:38 pm (UTC)
dont purchase bootlegs.
26th-Jun-2007 06:20 pm (UTC)
oh god i hate when people say this. WE'RE NOT ALL MILLIONAIRES!
so your statement really should be "don't purchase blatantly obvious bootlegs".
ones that look pretty legit are fine. hah.
26th-Jun-2007 10:02 pm (UTC)
it's not about money. it's the fact that these designers have worked really hard to achieve their artistic vision in physical form and then that vision is stolen from them.
and the factories where these bootlegs are produced in house hundreds of children who are forced to work 14 hour days with very low wages and barely any food. and you folk are the reason those factories are open.
thats bullshit. stick to payless and michael kors if you cant afford chanel.
26th-Jun-2007 11:08 pm (UTC)
i don't give a fuck about child labor or people who already have millions of dollars more than me, SORRAY!
26th-Jun-2007 11:09 pm (UTC)
in fact, those little brats should work harder because a lot of the knockoffs they're putting out are

you know that the designers have their shit manufactured by "hundreds of children who are forced to work 14 hour days with very low wages and barely any food" right? Or are you dumb enough to think that the designer makes each piece?
17th-Dec-2007 02:20 am (UTC)
some designers go to such lengths to get their products finished and those are the ones with least respect in the industry.
are you dumb enough to not realize that the reason designer products are so expensive is because they're made with the best materials and in the best factories in europe, and not in china?
rhetoric question.
28th-Jun-2007 03:04 am (UTC)
i'm sure you own at least 10 things made in sweatshops. nike, anything from wal-mart and most major chains use sweatshops. do you drink coffee? is it fair trade? probably not.
17th-Dec-2007 02:22 am (UTC)
thats one aspect of why counterfeit designer ware is wrong. another, and more importantly, is the fact that the designers' artistic merits are being questioned because ignorant people choose to wear something that's fake and pretend that it's real. agree to disagree, this is becoming a nuisance.
